Today I started a new adventure with a wonderful leader called Beth Moore. The title of our new adventure is called David: 90 days with a heart like his. These are the things that stuck out to me today. I am so excited to see what tomorrow will bring.

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance because I have rejected him. Man does not see what the Lord sees, for man sees what is visible, but God sees the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
Where do you find yourself doing this the most-judging people?
Actually, what qualities should catch our eye and impress us the most about others? What are the marks of true greatness?
1 Samuel 16: 1-7
Saul has been rejected as king of Israel
Samuel had been grieving the loss of him
Samuel uncharacteristically argues with God
Have you ever felt like the consummate “little brother”? Sometime ,somewhere, you’ve probably been treated as if you didn’t exist, weren’t wanted, or didn’t matter.
God reminded Samuel that the human mind has an overwhelming tendency to make assumptions based on appearances. God’s choices don’t always make sense to us, but they are never haphazard or random.
Who are your “older brothers” you compare yourself to? Who or what have allowed to intimidate you into believing that you are less than you really are, incapable of achieving much of any real value in God’s kingdom?
